And in a blink of an eye we end January…and before we know it the year will be gone too. And so suddenly I realised I was exhausted! I mean mid-year madness , post monsoon and pre vacation exhausted. That’s when I realised that there was no point.

Kiddie Games
And Friday night is Murder Mystery Party night…! Now with the week being one of our longest- 4 shoots, multiple edits, tons of digital work, travel, exercise and pain… it seemed like I’d never finish the 14 scripts for the Party! My mother wondered why I was doing so much for the party… Wouldn’t peopleContinue reading “Kiddie Games”
Happy Dating Anniversary…
Everything in my life is always a production! Whether it was studying for exams, throwing parties or even something as boring as an offsite… I am very dramatic! Needless to say then , that I am the perfect ‘Hallmark Target.’ In fact I created days that they’d have loved to have known about if only to capture my business… and this weekend heralds one very special day- my ‘Dating Anniversary.’
The Bubble Burst (well… almost)
And exactly as predicted the new year bubble burst mid week in complete exhaustion! Now don’t get me wrong the week has been amazing- I started the year off with a party on a yacht, with great music and fabulous company, I won an award-Internationally- The Enterprising Woman of The Year Award, and am nowContinue reading “The Bubble Burst (well… almost)”
Rape, retweet, repeat.
The rape shook me like all the others had in the past and the brutality horrified me. But I was amazed at every one who spent time writing #Rip using her name as a hashtag. It generated more likes and retweets but little else. Nothing changes with silent marches and candle light vigils. New days share more horrors and past brutalities seem like minor infractions compared to the new senseless depravity that we are being subject to.
Find your Magic
The puppy party dominated the week. With Magic’s birthday on Saturday , all the planning and energy was reserved for him. Now , those who don’t have dogs will never understand why so much energy is used on what could be seen as a ‘party for dogs.’ But what you don’t get is how importantContinue reading “Find your Magic”
Death Happened
And so he died. He walked his usual morning walk, sat down perhaps a bit out of breath and died.Since he died, resting at a bus stop, daily travellers saw him. People gathered and whispers began. The police came. And all this before it was 7 am. Crowds and strangers knew before his family did.Continue reading “Death Happened”
Slip Disc Musings
And so keeping in tune with the year the back collapsed on me… with a slip disc I hobbled around albeit sideways while my puppy tried his best not to trip me up on stairs (unsuccessfully) and my husband worked on being the ‘perfect stick’ for me to lean on (equally unsuccessfully). And though IContinue reading “Slip Disc Musings”
Toxic Relationships
How many times do we know someone that or something is bad for us but we cling on to it persistently because of force of habit? We know they’re wrong for us/ it makes us sad, unhappy, weak, angry… but we just don’t let it go… And when we do let go…we mourn- as ifContinue reading “Toxic Relationships”
The Goodbyes…
And I have realised that every good bye is tough… When I did plays – as much as I loved opening night and all the grandeur and excitement; it was always bitter-sweet. There’d be no more rehearsals, no more swapping stories and gossip, no more long coffee breaks and bloopers. The family that we createdContinue reading “The Goodbyes…”
